RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Carolina Hurricanes triumphantly hoisted the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history last summer. The Anaheim Ducks want a chance to do the same.

The Ducks continue their five-game road trip when they travel to Carolina to take on the Stanley Cup champion Hurricanes on Friday.

The NHL's top team, Anaheim opened the trip with a 2-0 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday but rebounded with a 4-3 win over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday.

Travis Green, Dustin Penner, Chris Kunitz and Corey Perry scored for Anaheim while Jean-Sebastien Giguere recorded 14 saves before leaving with a groin injury after the second period. Michael Wall replaced Giguere and finished with four saves.

The Hurricanes try to rebound from a 4-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday. Craig Adams scored the lone Carolina goal with just 1:09 left in the third period to avoid the shutout.
