RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) - After putting the brakes on its 10-game losing streak, the Philadelphia Flyers look to build some momentum.

The Flyers seek a rare consecutive win when they host the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday.

Philadelphia goaltender Robert Esche made a career-high 42 saves as Philadelphia downed the Tampa Bay Lightning, 4-3, on Thursday to end the losing skid. Simon Gagne had two goals while Peter Forsberg added three assists in the win.

The Hurricanes come off a huge 4-2 win on Friday over the Anaheim Ducks, whose 62 points are the most in the NHL.

Rod Brind'Amour, who was honored before the game for getting his 1,000th career point, had a goal and an assist along with Justin Williams.
