RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Justin Williams and the Carolina Hurricanes have had their way with the Florida Panthers.

The Hurricanes shoot for their third straight victory and aim to continue their dominance of the Panthers when the Southeast Division rivals square off Thursday.

The reigning Stanley Cup champion, Carolina has won two of its three games against Florida this season and is 8-2-1 in its last 11 meetings with the Panthers.

Williams has been a huge part of that success, scoring two goals and adding an assist in the three contests with Florida this season. Carolina's leading goal scorer, Williams has 10 tallies and nine assists in 26 career games against the Panthers.

Williams netted his 21st goal Tuesday and Cam Ward made 29 saves in the Hurricanes' 4-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Panthers hope to carry momentum from Wednesday's 5-2 triumph over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Captain Olli Jokinen recorded his second hat trick of the season while Alex Auld made 23 saves for Florida, which snapped a three-game skid.
