BINGHAMTON, New York (Ticker) -- Jason Spezza had a
successful homecoming.

Spezza scored with 2:14 remaining in overtime, leading the
Ottawa Senators to a 3-2 exhibition victory over the Buffalo
Sabres.

Selected second overall in the 2001 draft, Spezza spent much of
last season playing for the Senators' American Hockey League
affiliate in Binghamton.

Spezza, who helped set up a goal by Marian Hossa early in the
third period to give the Senators a 2-1 lead, put a shot past
goaltender Ryan Miller for the game-winner.

Jody Hull also scored for Ottawa, which held a 30-27 edge in
shots.

Defenseman Henrik Tallinder scored in the second period and Paul
Gaustad tallied 4:01 into the third for the Sabres.
