MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (Ticker) -- Brian Rolston scored
with 35 seconds left in overtime as the Boston Bruins rallied
for a 2-1 preseason victory over the Montreal Canadiens.
The Bruins tied it with 48 seconds left in regulation as P.J.
Axelsson scored with an extra skater on the ice.
Axelsson had a goal waved off in the second period. Montreal's
Jason Ward also had one nullified early in the third, keeping
the contest scoreless.
Mike Ribiero tallied with 5:58 left in the third period to give
the Canadiens a 1-0 lead.
Hannu Toivonen stopped 21 shots in the first two periods for the
Bruins before giving way to Steve Shields, who recorded 12
saves in the third period and overtime.
Montreal's Mathieu Garon registered 32 saves.
