Stoll scores twice, Oilers shut out Coyotes in first game since Cup Finals

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) -- Jarret Stoll scored two goals and
rookie Devan Dubynk made 27 saves in the Edmonton Oilers' 5-0
victory over the Phoenix Coyotes on Sunday in the exhibition opener
for both teams.

The teams played in front of a capacity crowd of 15,015 at MTS
Centre, with many of the fans wearing Winnipeg Jets jerseys. It was
the fourth NHL exhibition game in Winnipeg since the Jets left in
1996 to become the Coyotes.

Stoll beat goalie David LeNeveu on a two-man advantage late in
the first period and made it 2-0 against Phillippe Sauve in the
second. Alexei Mikhnov scored late in the second and Stephane
Goulet and Brad Winchester added third-period goals.

Phoenix goalie Curtis Joseph didn't make the trip and Edmonton
starter Dwayne Roloson remained in Alberta. Coyotes center
Jeremy Roenick, who returned to the team in the offseason, didn't play
because of a minor groin injury.

Edmonton sat forwards Ryan Smyth, Ales Hemsky and Fernando Pisani.
