ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Dustin Penner had two goals and an assist to lead the Anaheim Ducks past the San Jose Sharks 6-3 in a preseason game Wednesday night.

Todd Marchant added a goal and two assists, and Jean Sebastien-Giguere made 10 saves before rookie Michael Wall took over at 10:25 of the second period.

Penner began the scoring with a wrist shot on a 2-on-0 rush at 9:22 of the second period. Anaheim then added four goals in 3:39.

Penner converted another wrist shot at 13:03, Corey Perry scored seconds later on a slap shot and Teemu Selanne added a power-play goal at 14:43. Marchant ended the spree by converting Penner's pass at 16:42.

Stanislav Chistov also scored for the Ducks.

Milan Michalek, Patrick Marleau and Garrett Stafford scored for San Jose.

The Sharks' Joe Thornton and Jonathan Cheechoo did not dress for the game.

Chris Pronger, who was traded July 3 after leading the Edmonton Oilers to the Stanley Cup finals, played just more than 21 minutes in his exhibition debut for the Ducks.
