Canadiens' Koivu notches first goal since eye injury

MONTREAL (AP) -- Aleksander Suglobov had a goal and two assists, including one on Matt Stajan's go-ahead goal 13:53 into the third, to lead the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 4-3 exhibition victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.

Suglobov, who also scored in Toronto's 5-1 home win over Montreal on Friday night, opened the scoring with a sharp-angled shot past Carey Price early in the second.

Suglobov assisted on Jeremy Williams' goal that put the Maple Leafs (3-1) up 3-2 with 3:59 left in the second and set up Stajan that gave Toronto the lead with 6:07 left in the third. Kyle Wellwood also scored for Toronto, and Andrew Raycroft made 32 saves.

Montreal's Saku Koivu scored his first goal since suffering a serious eye injury in the playoffs, connecting early in the second period. He also assisted on Michael Ryder's goal a minute into the third that tied it at 3.

Mark Streit added a goal for Montreal (0-4).

Price, chosen fifth overall by the Canadiens in the 2005 draft, stopped 10 of 11 shots before giving way to Cristobal Huet midway through the second.
