NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Paul Kariya had a goal and two assists and the Nashville Predators beat the Carolina Hurricanes 7-3 in a preseason game Saturday night.

Kariya scored 16 seconds into a two-man advantage as the Predators took the lead for good at 7:40 of the second period against the Stanley Cup champion Hurricanes.

Martin Erat scored two goals, Steve Sullivan had a goal and an assist, J.P. Dumont, Josef Vasicek and Alexander Radulov added goals and Jason Arnott had two assists for the Predators (3-1), who have scored 20 goals in their last three contests.

Bryan Bayda, Justin Williams and Anton Babchuk scored for Carolina (0-2).

Scott Walker, Nashville's career scoring leader, returned for the first time after being traded for Vasicek on July 18.
