CHICAGO (AP) -- Stephen Weiss lofted in a rebound with 7:06 left in the third period and Craig Anderson made 38 saves to lead the Florida Panthers to a 1-0 preseason win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night.
Weiss beat Corey Crawford high on the glove side after Crawford made a pad save on Jordan Henry's shot from the point.
Florida improved to 3-1 in the preseason. Chicago dropped to 1-2.
Both goalies played the entire game. Crawford stopped 26 shots.
Florida outshot Chicago 8-2 in the scoreless first period. The Blackhawks took control territorially in the scoreless second, outshooting the Panthers 23-4.
Florida had one of the best chances in the period, however. Weiss broke in alone just under eight minutes into the second, but Crawford made a pad save on Weiss' low shot.
Anderson stopped and covered up David Koci's point-blank attempt at 4:30 of the third.
