NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Rick Nash scored a pair of goals, one short-handed, and the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Nashville Predators 3-0 in a preseason meeting of Central Division rivals.

Nash scored during a Nashville power play at 4:44 of the first period. Predators goalie Chris Mason moved to the left of the goal mouth to make a pass to Shea Weber, but Nash intercepted it and fired a shot into the open net from inside the right circle.

Nash scored again with 4:02 left in the second period.

Sergei Fedorov added a power-play goal at 17:18 when he fired a one-timer from just inside the blue line past Mason.

Nashville outshot Columbus 41-17 but couldn't beat goalie Fredrik Norrena, who played the whole game.

Mason also went the distance in goal for Nashville, taking his first loss in three preseason outings.
