CALGARY -- Michael Cammalleri and Andre Roy each scored for the Calgary Flames in a 3-1 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday night.

Matthew Lombardi also scored for the Flames (2-1-0). Miikka Kiprusoff stopped all nine shots he faced in his first action of the preseason before being replaced in net midway through the second by Curtis McElhinney, who finished with 13 saves.

Viktor Tikhonov, the 28th pick overall in this year's draft, scored for Phoenix. Coyotes goalie Mikael Tellqvist had 21 saves.

The Coyotes, who also lost 3-2 to the Flames on Wednesday night in Winnipeg, are now winless in three exhibition games. They were playing without goalie Ilya Bryzgalov, defenseman Ed Jovanovski and forwards Olli Jokinen, Shane Doan, Peter Mueller and highly touted rookie Kyle Turris.

The Flames will play their fourth exhibition game in four days when they host the Florida Panthers at the Saddledome on Friday night.
