CALGARY, Alberta -- Patrick O'Sullivan scored twice to give the Edmonton Oilers a 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames in the preseason opener for both teams Tuesday night.

O'Sullivan only had two goals in 19 games for Edmonton after he was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings.

Jarome Iginla, Olli Jokinen, Daymond Langkow, and Rene Bourque sat for Calgary, as did 41-year-old Theo Fleury, who is attempting a comeback after six years away from the NHL.

Calgary's Jamie Lundmark sprung Jason Jaffray on a breakaway.

The Oilers got goals from Tom Gilbert and Shawn Horcoff, who scored into an empty net. Mike Comrie had two assists, shortly after signing for a second stint in Edmonton.

Oilers starting goalie Jeff Deslauriers stopped all 13 shots in 30 minutes.
