Medal hopes take hit with Serena, Capriati out

ATHENS, Greece -- Just a few hours before she was supposed to board the U.S. Olympic tennis team's flight to Athens, Serena Williams sent word via e-mail that she wouldn't be going to the Summer Games.

With Jennifer Capriati staying Stateside, too, the Americans' medal hopes suddenly went from strong to suspect. Don't tell that to coach Zina Garrison, though.
