Lavrov claims bronze in fifth games
ATHENS, Greece -- Russian goalkeeper Andrei Lavrov, playing in his fifth and final Olympics, earned a bronze medal when Russia beat Hungary in men's handball.
Lavrov, 42, won his first Olympic gold medal playing for the Soviet Union in 1988. After the Soviet collapse, Lavrov won another gold in Barcelona in 1992 for the Unified Team. He was part of Russia's fifth-place finish in Atlanta in 1996 and won another gold in 2000.
