Crash causes Gasparotto to give up lead to Di Luca
BOSA, Sardinia -- Robbie McEwen won the second stage of the Giro d'Italia in a sprint finish Sunday, and Danilo Di Luca took the overall lead from teammate Enrico Gasparotto.
McEwen completed the 127-mile leg from Tempio Pausania to Bosa in 5 hours, 7 minutes, 13 seconds. Olympic and world champion Paolo Bettini finished second and Alessandro Petacchi was third, each with the same time as McEwen, an Australian with the Predictor-Lotto team.
