Loukas captures second straight U.S. 1-meter title
PASADENA, Calif. -- Christina Loukas tuned up for the Beijing Olympics by defending her 1-meter title at the U.S. national diving championships on Thursday night.
Loukas won with 264.80 points, edging her synchronized diving partner Amanda Miller of Centreville, Va., who finished second with 259.65.
Kassidy Cook, a 13-year-old competitor from The Woodlands, Texas, was third at 244.30.
