Albrecht awakens from induced coma
INNSBRUCK, Austria -- Swiss skier Daniel Albrecht woke up from an induced coma, three weeks after crashing during a downhill training run.
Albrecht's condition has improved significantly over the past 24 hours, the Innsbruck University hospital said in a statement Thursday.
"His own breathing was so good, that doctors decided to remove the respiration tube," said the hospital, which will hold a news conference on Friday.
