U.S. men notch second straight victory

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- That's two wins in a row for the United States men's curlers following an 0-4 start.

Saturday's was an 8-7, extra-end victory over Sweden, thanks to the exceptional shot-making of Jason Smith.

A loss would all but have eliminated the Americans from medal contention.

Skip John Shuster returned to the lineup after being benched -- because of unreliable shot-making -- for the team's win over France on Friday.
