Sex abuse alleged in lawsuit
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Attorneys have filed a lawsuit against the governing body of U.S. competitive swimming and a swim coach who they claim had a sexual relationship with a teenage swimmer.
The lawsuit, filed Monday in Jackson County, Mo., alleges that Robert D. Mirande, an assistant coach for a Blue Springs swim club, had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a teenager from 2006 to 2008, beginning when she was 17.
