Peter Cannell accepts ban after test

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency says cyclist Peter Cannell has accepted a two-year suspension after his urine tested positive for a type of steroid.

USADA also says his competitive results for roughly the past four years will be disqualified.

USADA said Friday that a urine sample collected from Cannell as part of its out-of-competition testing program on April 16, 2010, tested positive for drostanolone. That led to his two-year period of ineligibility, which ...
