Former hurdler hopes to compete at Winter Olympics

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Former two-time world champion hurdler Jana Pittman hopes to compete for Australia at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics in bobsled.

Pittman, who retired from track after a foot injury forced her out of the 400-meter hurdles at the London Olympics, has been working out three afternoons week in a Melbourne park under the supervision of Shane McKenzie, who competed in the bobsled at the 2006 Turin Games for Australia.
