Shipulin wins 2nd consecutive biathlon

ANTERSELVA, Italy -- Anton Shipulin of Russia led almost from start to finish in the 12.5-kilometer pursuit to claim his second consecutive World Cup biathlon win on Saturday.

Shipulin completed the course in 31 minutes, 24.2 seconds with two penalties, finishing 22.6 seconds ahead of Jakov Fak of Slovenia.

Fak had a late surge to overtake Austria's Daniel Mesotitsch for second place. Both had just one penalty.
