McMorris wins men's slopestyle at US Open

VAIL, Colo. -- Mark McMorris of Canada has won the men's slopestyle competition in snowy conditions at the U.S. Open snowboarding championships.

McMorris held off Norway's Torstein Horgmo on Friday as the competition moved out west to Vail, Colo., this season after a 30-year run in Vermont. Chas Guldemond of Reno, Nev., finished third.
