McEwen wins second consecutive Tour de Suisse stage
DOMAT-EMS, Switzerland -- Robbie McEwen won a mass sprint to the finish to capture his second straight Tour de Suisse stage Tuesday.
The Silence-Lotto rider won the 106-mile fourth stage from Gossau to Domat-Ems in 4 hours, 4 minutes, 10 seconds.
In a repeat of Monday's stage, Spain's Oscar Freire finished second for Rabobank and Team High Road rider Gerald Ciolek of Germany was third.
Euskaltel-Euskadi rider Igor Anton of Spain remains ahead in the overall standings, followed by Luxembourg's Kim Kirchen and Italian Damiano Cunego.
The race continues Wednesday with a 118-mile ride from Domat-Ems to Caslano in the southern Swiss state of Ticino.
