Navarro, Bommentre call it a career
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Ice dancers Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre, two-time bronze medalists at the U.S. championships, are ending their competitive career.
Navarro and Bommentre announced Tuesday they will appear in an ice show in Sun Valley, Idaho, this summer, then join a new Holiday on Ice tour. The duo is "really excited" about the next chapter in their career, Navarro says.
Navarro and Bommentre began skating together in 2005, and were third at the 2008 and 2009 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. They competed at two world championships, finishing 12th in 2008 and 14th this year.
