The alternates are Kytra Hunter of Frederick, Md., and Mackenzie Caquatto, Naperville, Ill.
Chosen earlier for the U.S. men's team were Olympic medalist Jonathan Horton, of Houston, who took silver on the high bar and bronze in the team competition in Beijing; Jake Dalton, Sparks, Nev.; Wes Haagensen, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Steven Legendre, Flower Mound, Texas; Danell Leyva, Miami, Fla.; and Tim McNeill, Falls Church, Va.
The world championships run from Oct. 13-18. The format features all-around and individual event competition.
