LIBEREC, Czech Republic -- Hannu Manninen of Finland won a World Cup Nordic combined event Sunday, and Todd Lodwick of the United States finished third.
Manninen overcame a 50-second deficit from the jumping portion to ski the fastest cross-country time and win by 14.8 seconds. Kristian Hammer of Norway was second.
Lodwick won the jumping portion with a 128.5-meter jump but was 12th in the cross-country portion, 21.3 seconds behind Manninen.
Manninen leads the overall standings with 846 points, followed by Ronny Ackermann of Germany with 704 and Lodwick with 520.
