Czechs take fifth at junior hockey worlds

LEKSAND, Sweden -- The Czech Republic beat Finland 6-2 to
finish fifth in the World Junior Ice Hockey Championship on
Thursday, while Germany and Belarus were relegated to a lower
division next year.

In the relegation round, Slovakia routed Belarus 9-0 to send the
Belorussians to Division I next year. Germany also was relegated
after losing 5-3 to Switzerland.

On Friday, two-time defending champion Canada plays Russia in
the final, while the United States takes on Sweden for third place.
