Suspended IOC member gets presidential amnesty
SEOUL, South Korea -- Suspended International Olympic Committee member Park Yong-sung was among 434 South Koreans granted presidential amnesty Thursday.
Park, the former chairman of the Doosan Group, was suspended from the IOC last year after he was sentenced to a suspended prison term and fined on embezzlement charges in a case stemming from a family feud over control of South Korea's oldest conglomerate.
