HAVERFORD, Pa. -- Team USA coach Jay Wright has settled on his 12-man roster for the Pan American Games basketball tournament.

Four of Wright's selections have prior USA Basketball experience: Wayne Ellington of North Carolina, Maarty Leunen of Oregon, Scottie Reynolds of Villanova and D.J. White of Indiana.

Also named to the team, which will compete July 25-29 in Rio de Janeiro: Joey Dorsey of Memphis, Shan Foster of Vanderbilt, James Gist of Maryland, Roy Hibbert of Georgetown, Derrick Low and Kyle Weaver of Washington State, Eric Maynor of Virginia Commonwealth, and Drew Neitzel of Michigan State.

Player selections were made after five trials sessions and four practices in a five-day period beginning July 12 at Haverford College.

"This was difficult of a decision as any I've been involved in with USA Basketball," Wright, who coaches Villanova, said in a statement. "Every kid here could play on this team and we would be proud to take them to Brazil. We just had to decide do we want to play with some extra guards and some extra bigs and maybe not as many wings? That's really what it came down to."

The USA roster features nine players who will be seniors in 2007-08, one who will be a junior and two who will be sophomores in 2007-08.

The Pan American team's training will continue through Wednesday at Haverford and move to the Verizon Center in Washington for three days beginning Thursday.
