Darwitz's two goals, assist lead U.S. past Canada, into title game rematch

HARBIN, China -- Captain Natalie Darwitz had two goals and an assist to lead the United States to a 4-2 win over rival Canada on Thursday to advance to the title game in the women's world hockey championship.

The United States will face Canada again in a rematch for the gold on Saturday.

Meghan Duggan and Caitlin Cahow also scored and defenseman Julie Chu added two assists for the United States.

Jayna Hefford and Kelly Bechard scored for Canada.

U.S. goalie Jessie Vetter made 14 saves while Canada's Charline Labonte stopped 16 of 19 shots.

The United States finished 3-for-10 on the power play while Canada was only 1-for-9.

Finland will face Switzerland for the bronze. The Swiss beat Russia 2-1 on Thursday and will play for a medal at the world championship for the first time.
