Walsh, son 'happy and healthy'
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. -- It's a boy for two-time Olympic beach volleyball gold medalist Kerri Walsh.
The star known as "Six Feet of Sunshine" gave birth to 8-pound, 10-ounce Joseph Michael Jennings on Friday night in Los Angeles. He's the first child for Walsh and her husband, fellow pro beach volleyball player Casey Jennings.
The AVP Tour said mother and baby are "happy and healthy."
Walsh said "it's the most incredible feeling."
Walsh and teammate Misty May-Treanor won the Olympic gold medal in Athens in 2004 and again in Beijing in 2008. Both players have said they will take some time off to start families.
