LAUSANNE, Switzerland -- American Don Porter has been re-elected as president of the International Softball Federation, an organization he has served for more than 40 years.

Porter was elected unopposed for another four-year team at the ISF congress in Venezuela over the weekend.

He became president in 1987 after serving as secretary general since 1965.

Softball was dropped as an Olympic sport after last summer's Beijing Games.
