FORT KENT, Maine -- Six-time world champion Andra Henkel skied fast and shot clean to lead Germany in a sweep of the women's 7.5-kilometer sprint at the World Cup biathlon on Friday.

Miriam Gossner was second, followed by Magdalena Neuner. Henkel hit all her targets and skied to a 10.9-second win over Gossner, who along with Neuner was penalized for missing two targets.

Finland's Kaisa Makarainen finished ninth but maintained her overall lead in the World Cup standings.

Fifty-six athletes participated in the event at the Maine Winter Sports Center in Fort Kent.
