Bjorndalen wins gold in 12.5-kilometer pursuit
ANTERSELVA, Italy -- Ole Einar Bjorndalen of Norway won his second gold medal in as many days at the biathlon world championship Sunday, adding the 12.5-kilometer pursuit to the 10-kilometer sprint.
The 34-year-old Olympic great finished in 32 minutes, 21.2 seconds and missed only two targets.
"I am very happy and also very proud about my gold medals," Bjorndalen said.
Maxim Tchoudov of Russia finished 1:09.8 behind to take silver, just 0.1 seconds ahead of Vincent Defrasne of France.
