Other career highlights: After finishing fourth in the 50km race walk at the 1999 Worlds, Clausen was awarded the bronze medal two years after finishing his race - when winner German Skurygin was stripped of his medal after a positive drug test. It was the first race walk medal for an American in a world championships or Olympics since Larry Young won the 50km bronze at the 1972 Munich Olympics; won USA Junior 10K title in 1986.
