Gold-winner Harper wins 100-meter hurdles at Golden Grand Prix
SHANGHAI, China -- Olympic gold-medalist Dawn Harper of the United States won the 100-meter hurdles Saturday at the Golden Grand Prix.
Harper won the event in 12.56 seconds. Jamaica's Veronica Campbell-Brown won the 100 in 11.01.World record-holder Yelena Isinbayeva of Russia won the pole vault at 15 feet, 1 inch after three failed attempts at 15-7. Last week, Isinbayeva had pulled out of the World Athletics Final in Germany because of a cold. Christian Cantwell of the United States won the men's shot put. Christine Ohuruogu of Great Britain finished fourth behind winner Shericka Williams of Jamaica, who won in 50.88. "I'm very tired. It's been a very, very long season," said a smiling Ohuruogu, who finished more than a second behind the winner.
