Saturday, January 12, 2002 Traa tops Bahrke for moguls win Associated Press SAINT-LARY-PIAU, France -- Kari Traa beat Shannon Bahrke of Tahoe City, Calif., in a World Cup moguls race Saturday for her fourth win of the season. Traa scored 27.65 points out of a possible 30 for her second victory in as many days. Bahrke was second at 26.74, followed by Hannah Hardaway of Moultonboro, N.H., third at 26.25 Traa, a 1998 Olympic bronze medalist in the discipline, led the overall standings after five races. Hardaway was second. Sami Mustonen of Finland won the men's race with a score of 27.51. Janne Lahtela of Finland was second, followed by Evan Dybvig of Tunbridge, Vt., and Jeremy Bloom of Loveland, Colo., who retained a narrow lead in the event standings. Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley of Tiburon, Calif., finished 27th after winning Friday's moguls race. |
