Laydowns are irresistable lairs for bass and thus are great finds for fishermen. Bassmaster Elite Series pro Edwin Evers says to check them for bass activity, regardless of where you're fishing or what season.
When scouting a lake for an upcoming tournament, Evers always punches a waypoint in on his GPS every time he passes a laydown. He doesn't know at first if laydowns will be part of his tournament strategy. But if they prove to be productive, Evers already has several laydowns marked on his GPS. Story
