2007 Bassmaster Opens - Central Division
March 15-17, Lake Texoma, Denison, Texas
June 14-16, Red River, Shreveport-Bossier City, La.
Sept. 27-29, Lake Amistad, Del Rio, Texas

• The BASS 300 point system will be used in Bassmaster Opens for end of the year awards.
• Three (3) 2008 Bassmaster Classic births from each 2007 Bassmaster Southern and Central Opens Pro Division, for a total of six (6).
• Top 5 Pros in end of the year points from each 2007 Bassmaster Southern and Central Opens qualify for the 2008 ELITE SERIES for a total of ten (10).
• BASS will move down the respective Bassmaster Opens lists until the tenth (10) spot (inclusive of the tenth (10) spot). If the five 2008 ELITE SERIES spots have not been secured from those eligible qualifiers, BASS will secure the remaining 2008 ELITE SERIES qualifiers by going down the 2007 ELITE SERIES Angler of the Year list.
•  THE TOTAL SPOTS IN THE 2008 ELITE SERIES WILL BE 75.

2007 BASSMASTER OPENS FORMAT

Three day tournaments (Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Pro and Co-angler random draw

Full fields on Thursday and Friday.

Cut to the Top 30 on Day 3, Saturday

Payout will include all anglers that make the cut

Five fish limit for Pros and Co-anglers unless local game laws require something different.

Dip nets allowed

Entry fees (per event) and registration information
• $1000 Pros ($400 deposit), $600 balance due 30 days prior to the start of the tournament competition
• $300 Co-anglers ($100 deposit), $200 balance due 30 days prior to the start of the tournament competition

2007 ELITE SERIES Wild Card Event
Lake Okeechobee, November 29th- December 1st, 2007

What is it?
Pro Angler — this is a no entry fee, no payback event. This is solely to obtain the final 10 spots in the ELITE SERIES

Co-Angler — This will be a standard event for the co anglers. Entry fee of $300

Pro angler

2007 ELITE SERIES Pro anglers who have not previously qualified for the 2008 ELITE SERIES

3 Pros from the 2007 Bassmaster Central Opens**

** We will go down the respective Bassmaster Open division list until the fifteenth (15) spot (inclusive of the # 15 spot). If we are still looking to qualify an angler after the fifteenth spot we will not move down any other list and will take fewer anglers to the wild card event.

Co-Angler

The Wild Card Co-angler positions will be open to any BASS member, registration begins January 7th, 2007

* Should any Bassmaster Open, B.A.S.S. Federation Nation, or EOBS qualifier elect not to fish the 2008 Bassmaster Classic, BASS will utilize the ELITE SERIES Angler of the Year points list to secure a field of 50 participants.
