The "Test of the Best" and the "Super Bowl" of bass fishing are clichés that have been used to describe the Bassmaster Classic, the premier event of the sport and its biggest stage for three decades and running. The Classic's big stakes and high drama set it apart from any other event of its kind. With a $500,000 first-place prize on the line, the sport's only world championship event held once each year has become a fan favorite.

With it's nearly $11 million total prize purse, the Bassmaster Elite Series and its 11 events make up bass fishing's most competitive and lucrative league. The Elite Series is just what the name implies: a stage for the most elite anglers in the sport. The schedule runs coast-to-coast and through all phases of the seasons of bass fishing.

The Bassmaster Opens offer a platform for amateur anglers to emerge as aspiring pros with a schedule of three events each in the Central and Southern divisions. Both boaters and non-boaters compete in the Bassmaster Opens, which provide a qualifying structure for anglers to advance to the Bassmaster Elite Series.
