After three days of competing on Lewis & Clark Reservoir, the adult state winners of the BASS Federation Nation Central Divisional served as boat captains for the divisional junior qualifiers. Gusting winds caused the event to be relocated from the reservoir to nearby Lake Yankton where Drew Honigman, of Harrisonville, Mo, won the 11-14 year-olds age group and Drew Creel, Shawnee, Okla., topped the competition in the 15-18 age division. Honigman caught one bass weighing 2 pounds, 9 ounces and Creel finished with four bass weighing 7-14.

The strong winds also forced the Central Divisional CastingKids contest to be moved indoors to the Yankton High School gym. Former CastingKids national champion Jonny Schultz of Maumelle, Ark., recorded a perfect score to win the divisional contest in the 11-14 age group and again qualify for the nationals. Jordan Nicole Schaefer, Omaha, Neb., scored a 110 to win the 7-10 age division.
