Denny Brauer is the elder statesman when it comes to Bassmaster events. He's won 16 of them, including the 2006 Champion's Choice on Lake Champlain. In an event where smallmouth were supposed to dominate, Brauer stuck with his guns and his tried-and-true jig in shallow water. Completely uncharacteristic for an event on Lake Champlain, it was catches like this that showed us that old dogs can still teach new tricks.
