Favorite event
I'd have to say that my favorite event is log rolling. The sport requires a tremendous amount of strength, endurance, balance, agility and concentration.

Training routine
Since moving to California in 2004 I haven't been able to get in the log rolling or boom running that I would like. As a result, cross training has been an integral part of my routine. I run at minimum five times a week (frequently on the beach) and lift weights three times a week. I also do gymnastics, pilates and yoga.

How long have you competed in the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series?
I started competing in the STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series in 2005 when they first started including the women's boom run event. (I didn't compete in 2007 because of a scheduling conflict.)

Interesting fact
I am currently trying to get a log rolling program started in the Los Angeles area. I recently was filmed log rolling for a Kool-Aid commercial. I created a web application to log and analyze my various training workouts. I competed in five of the ESPN Great Outdoor Games (earning bronze for the boom run in 2001 and 2002).
