Tommy Sanders (Bassmaster Television)

Kevin Van Dam — I know he's got another win in him this year, plus he's got a Toyota Angler of the Year title within reach. Maybe he wins it and overtakes Skeet Reese?

Kevin Short — Good here last year. And since his preparations for the Bassmaster Legends have been scrambled, why not take the pressure off with a good finish on this river?

Kevin Langill — Always looking for a fantasy bargain, aren't we? This second-year man caught 18 plus and led the tournament on Day One last year before having an awful Day Two. Plus, I like the look of leading with three Kevins in a row.

Skeet Reese — Of course he's looking to lock down the AOY. And at this tournament last year, he began a streak of four second place finishes in the last thirteen Bassmaster tournaments. He can undo the hex right here.

Greg Hackney — Another river pro who has been off his feed so far this year. Expect him to dig in here and catch them every day.

Steve Bowman (ESPNOutdoors.com editor)

Kelly Jordon — He won it last year because he's an expert at picking apart grass beds, which are prevalent on the Potomac. That won't change this year, and he knows how to target the bigger bite.

Rick Morris — Another top finisher from last season. But he's always done well here, it's practically in his back yard. I bet he has another strong event.

Kevin VanDam — You have to pick him. It's like LaDainian Tomlinson in Fantasy Football — you got the pick, you better take it.

Mike McClelland — I've grown up with this guy, and every time he comes to the Northeast he smacks them. He did well here last year, and he'll be stong.

Jeff Kriet — Kriet is the best angler on the Elite Series who hasn't won an event. He told me before the season started he was going to win this season. I believe him. Time may be running out, but Kriet's overall talents fit well with the Potomac.

John Murray — Murray has become such a solid pick in all of these tournaments, so I'm sticking with him again on the Potomac. He's got three more chances to win this year, and it could happen for him next week.

Skeet Reese — With KVD breathing down his neck in the Angler of the Year race, Skeet knows he's got to bring it every week. He finished second on the Potomac last year, and should finish well enough to have VanDam down a few points going into the final tournament in September, on Florida's Lake Toho.

Rick Morris — He's got a great history on the Potomac and lives right down the road. Had a fifth-place finish there last year.

Kevin Short — Kevin Short on a river with lots of grass just go together.

Grant Goldbeck — This is basically his home body of water, and he is one heckuva value pick this week. Picking Goldbeck will give you a lot of extra points to play with, and he is definitely capable of a top 20, or maybe even a top 12 finish.

Mark Zona (Bassmaster Television)

Steve Kennedy — Steve Kennedy is no longer fooling me. He does this, 'I'm not sure, I just got lucky, I just fell on 20 pounds.' I don't think so. He's way more dialed in than people give him credit for, and flipping grass is right up his alley.

Greg Hackney — Any time you're on any river across this entire country that has one blade of grass in it, Greg Hackney will figure out how to catch 20 pounds out of a grass bed quicker than any man alive.

Rick Morris — When you combine that sweet hair with local intimate knowledge, you're so money it hurts me.

Tommy Biffle — I think this will turn into another big-time flipping deal even though he didn't shine real big-time here last year, something tells me this is my darkhorse of the week.

Grant Goldbeck — I have never picked the Double Gizzle, but he has got to make a showing here. This is his home water. This is a huge tournament for him. He's definitely got to make a move.
