WBT Angler Profile: Audrey McQueen

2/5/2008

Hometown: Eagar, Ariz.

Age: 30

Occupation: Big Game Hunting Outfitter

High School: Reserve High School, N.M.

How Long Bass Fishing: 20 years

How Started Bass Fishing: My dad taught me to fish about the time I started walking. I fished mostly for trout because there weren't a lot of bass around. My husband got me started in bass tournament fishing a year ago.

Career Dream: To win the WBT Angler of the Year award and WBT Championship.

Career Highlights: Finishing in the Top 10 for three WBT tournaments in a row. The highlight would be leading the tournament at Guntersville on the second day. That gave me enough confidence to realize that I can be on top if I work hard enough.

Favorite Bass Water: Lake Dardanelle, Ark.

Big Bass: 6-8 largemouth from Lake Fork, Texas, on a Yamamoto Senko

Favorite Fishing Technique or Style: I love fishing a weightless Senko rigged weedless. I guess that comes from fishing for trout in a stream with no weight — just an earthworm on my hook.

Sponsors: Mossy Oak Camo and Big R Stores
