How Long Bass Fishing: Since I was a young adult
How Started Bass Fishing: Fishing has always been an important part of my life. My love for fishing began as a child when my father introduced me to the sport. My earliest memory of fishing is sitting with my father next to a big cut-off stump with fishing rod in hand while catching sunfish and bluegills.
Family fishing trips in later childhood taught me basic angling skills and the importance of respecting nature. During my teen years, I spent many of my summer mornings fishing "off the pier" on Lake Michigan or fishing with friends/family on the many wonderful inland lakes in Wisconsin.
At the age of 16, I met my husband at a fishing derby and the enjoyment of this sport has been a very strong link in our thirty-one year relationship. As a young adult, I became involved in Muskies, Inc. and BASS Federation Nation clubs. Here, I learned new angling techniques and strategies along with the value of good sportsmanship. In addition, through these clubs, I was first introduced to competitive fishing.
