Undoing a swimbait myth: Dirty water swimbaits.  Most people think that swimbaits are only supposed to be used in crystal clear waters and are best left in the tackle box in stained or muddy water.  Hardware begs to differ and will show you that the swimbait can be just as effective in dirty water.  In fact, he wishes he knew that 5 years ago fishing the Classic on Lake Wylie - and he's going to show you why.

Shallow in the summer: the big boys are still shallow.  Jason Quinn says that one of the biggest mistakes most anglers make is ignoring shallow water once the "dog days of summer" set in.  In this episode, he'll explain why some of the biggest fish in the lake can still be found in the shallows even when the water temps hit the high 80s.

Bait modifications:  Cranks and poppers.  Throwing your crankbait in the junk? Downsize the hooks to help get it through.  What can you do to a popper to increase hookups?  Don't be afraid to make changes to your baits to meet changing conditions.  It can make your strike zone bigger and put more fish in your live well.
