Last week, Page 2 listed its choices for the best acting performances by athletes, so now we're going to rank the worst film and TV efforts by jocks.

American Anthem
Remember former U.S. gymnast Mitch Gaylord's performance in "American Anthem"? We're sorry.
Check out our list of the 10 worst performances by athletes, then examine our readers' choices and vote in our poll to pick the worst of the worst.

Here's our list:

1. Mitch Gaylord in "American Anthem"
"An abomination," said one critic of the U.S. gymnast's performance. Even Janet Jones couldn't save this bomb.

2. Kurt Thomas in "Gymkata"
There's something about gymnasts and acting ... something really bad.

3. Wilt Chamberlain in "Conan the Destroyer"
The big man was a big dud. Truly painful to watch.

My Giant
Poor Gheorge Muresan will forever be known for "My Giant."
4. Tor Johnson in "Plan 9 from Outer Space"
Ed Wood's "Plan 9" is generally considered the worst movie ever made, and Johnson (a Swedish wrestler) as The Zombie was probably the movie's low point.

5. Brian Bosworth in "Stone Cold"
The ex-linebacker was terrible in many movies, but "Stone Cold," in which he played a double agent infiltrating a terrorist motorcycle gang run by Lance Henriksen is the one most "fans" remember best.

6. Gheorge Muresan in "My Giant"
The 7-foot-7 hoopster's performance opposite Billy Crystal gave new meaning to the word "wooden."

7. Brett Favre in "There's Something About Mary"
Good thing for the Packers that Fav-ray isn't as stiff on the field or he'd never escape the pocket. (Yeah, we know this made our readers' "best" list.)

Kazaam
"Kazaam" might have been Shaquille O'Neal's worst performance.
8. Dennis Rodman in "Double Team"
Even worse than his acting on the court, the Worm's performance actually made Jean-Claude Van Damme look good.

9. Shaq in "Kazaam"
Or "Steel." You make the call.

10. Tonya Harding in her wedding night video
The word "love" just isn't in her vocabulary.

Dishonorable mention:
Arnold Schwarzennegger in "Conan the Barbarian" and "Conan the Destroyer," Julius Erving in "The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh," Jim Brown in "100 Rifles," Lou Ferrigno in "The Incredible Hulk" TV series, Jean-Cluade Van Damme in "Kickboxer," Johnny Weissmuller in various "Tarzan" movies
